Due to the Avian Influenza Prevention Zone across the UK our Aviaries and part of the lakes area are closed.

We do NOT have this virus at Raystede. We are still open and welcome visitors to the rest of the site.

Become a fundraising volunteer

Our fundraising volunteers are vital to us!

We rely on our fundraising volunteers to help spread the word about Raystede, offer support at events and off-site collections as well as draw upon their creativity for fundraising initiatives. We also love it when fundraising volunteers organise their own events. Here are some of our tips and ideas to get you started.

If you would like to become a fundraising volunteer to help raise vital funds for the animals at Raystede, please complete our Volunteer Application Form and send it through to fundraising@raystede.org. We have many flexible roles where you do not necessarily need your own transport. You could also volunteer for as little as 4 hours a year by helping out at one of our events. You will be surrounded by like-minded animal lovers and will be helping us to give animals a better life.

If you would like to find out more about our current fundraising volunteer opportunities you can email fundraising@raystede.org or phone us on 01825 840747.

After registering to become a fundraising volunteer you will receive a welcome pack, and Raystede top. We will also make sure we check in with you on a regular basis.

Meet Albert, who is one of our most heartwarming transformations.

When Albert arrived at Raystede, he was nervous, underweight and suffering with painful patches of dry skin and sore joints.

At Raystede, we don’t just rehome animals, we rehabilitate them first, giving the best chance at a happy and healthy life. From healthcare to behavioural therapy, every step of their journey is carefully guided so they can trust again.

You can make a difference. A gift today will help make sure we can continue to care for all our animals, giving them the love and care they deserve.
