Donate goods

We can accept donated goods at our charity shop at Raystede in Ringmer, and also our charity shops in Lewes, Uckfield and Hailsham.

We are pleased to accept your donations of good quality, clean saleable items at our charity shop at Raystede in Ringmer, and also our charity shops in Lewes, Uckfield and Hailsham.

Whilst the goods we accept varies from shop to shop, all goods received must be in a clean and saleable condition. Please read the list of what we do and don't accept before donating goods.

Clothes – need to be in good condition, no stains, no rips, zips working, no buttons missing, as charity shops do not have washing machines. If you are not sure, ask yourself would you buy it , would you wear it.

Bric-a-brac- all kitchen items must be washed/ clean before donating to the shops, no chips or cracks, these are not saleable and end up in the bin with a cost to Raystede.

Electricals – must be working and in a good condition.

If you click on the shop where you want to donate the list of what they will accept will be there, each shop is slightly different.

Please note we do not accept any knives.

Charity shop at Raystede in Ringmer

We are delighted to accept your donated goods every day between 10am – 3pm.

On arrival at Raystede, please park in the main car park, bring your bags and boxes, make your way to our charity shop just behind the café, and ask to speak to someone at the shop till.

Please note we are not able to assist- make sure your bags and boxes are not overloaded so you can carry them safely! Please don't just drop off your donated goods without speaking to one of our shop staff or volunteers.

If you wish to visit Raystede please remember you do need to book a ticket but if you are just dropping of donations, please let the welcome team know when you arrive, and they will direct you to the Shop.

Lewes charity shop

Donations can be dropped off any day to our Lewes charity shop during the shop opening hours. The shop is open 7 days a week: Monday to Saturday 9am - 5pm, Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Please drive into the car park and you can find a loading bay round the back of the shop by the big blue shutters. You can enter the car park to drop off donated goods for up to 10 minutes only. Please keep this in mind or you may be fined.

Gift Aid - make your donation worth even more!

If you are a UK taxpayer you can boost the value of your donated goods by 25% at no extra cost to you. Simply ask to sign the Gift Aid Declaration in our charity shops and leave the rest to us.

Help keep our animals warm and safe this winter

As the cold weather sets in, our animals need your help more than ever. Winter is a challenging time for our animals who have often been mistreated, neglected or abandoned.

But, with your help they will spend Christmas in the care of our amazing animal welfare team.
