Learning Online

Work through an interactive lesson (or five mini lessons) to learn all about animals at your own pace
  • Let Bertie the dog show your students how to give their furry friends the best life
  • Lesson includes a range of interactive games and activities, such as 'What makes our dream dinners?' and 'Become a virtual vet'
  • Complete teachers notes provided, no extra resources required!

Paws to learn

We invite groups at risk of exclusion to engage in outdoor learning which aims to encourage pro-social skills and empathy with animals relating to the responsibilities involved in pet ownership.

  • Help us to collect the eggs from our chickens, make enrichment for our animals, exercise our dogs or ponies, or socialise our cats
  • One hourly sessions available every Wednesday afternoon (during term time)
  • Maximum group size 8 students
  • Led by Raystede's education team
  • Free of charge (donations welcome)

Your support helps animals like Mags

Mags arrived at Raystede in a state of neglect, suffering with chronic laminitis (inflammation and damage to the tissue of his hooves) severely impacting his ability to move. Mags spent around four weeks not being able to leave the stable, with Styrofoam pads taped to all four feet to increase comfort.

Five months later, thanks to your kind donations and the expert care our Equine Team, Mags is the picture of health, he is worm and lice free, and most importantly he isn’t in pain.

We couldn't help animals like Mags without your incredible support.
