Due to the Avian Influenza Prevention Zone across the UK our Aviaries and part of the lakes area are closed.

We do NOT have this virus at Raystede. We are still open and welcome visitors to the rest of the site.

Join #TeamRaystede and take on 50 miles in May to help injured and unwanted animals in need!

Whether you want to walk, run, swim, cycle (or even something silly like space hopper) - it is completely up to you! We want you to be a tortoise and not a hare, so take your time and complete the challenge at your own pace throughout the month of May.

You might wish to take on 1.7 miles a day or conquer longer distances less often - but however you want to take on the challenge we know you will smash your 50 mile target.

This is a free challenge and we ask that you raise as much as you can – all the money you raise will go towards helping the animals at Raystede. Plus, once you've started fundraising, we'll send you a #TeamRaystede t-shirt!

In the run-up to the challenge and throughout May, you'll be able to connect with other 50 Milers in our exclusive Facebook Group - and feel an incredible sense of achievement when you reach 50 miles at the end of the month!

And new for 2025, we're inviting participants to join us Bentley Estate on 1 May to complete their first mile with Raystede. Sign up today to find out more!
