Raystede's founder, Miss Raymonde-Hawkins, M.B.E. had "Peaceways", England's first animal crematorium built in 1960. It has since that day provided a much needed service for many people in their time of sorrow.
There is a choice of private cremation where your pets ashes are ready for collection after a few days.
Alternatively we offer a communal cremation where the ashes are scattered on our grounds.
Whatever your choice you may wish to order a plaque and/or rose bush.
To arrange an appointment to use our crematorium please ring 01825 840252 to confirm you are coming (please also let us know if you feel you may need assistance lifting your pet) before making your way to the reception at Raystede.
Tariff of charges
Private cremations, cats - £90.00
Private cremations, dogs less than 10 Kg. (e.g. Toy Poodle, Terrier) - £110.00
Private cremations 10-30 Kg. (medium sized dog e.g. Cocker Spaniel, Collie ) - £120.00
Private cremations 30-50 Kg. (large dog e.g. GSD, Labrador, Great Dane, Greyhound) - £150.00
Ashes can be sent to you by recorded delivery, cost - £10.00
Small Casket - £20.00
Large Casket - £25.00
(We regret we cannot post the caskets as they are quite heavy)
Sleeping Cat - £35.00
Sleeping Dog - £75.00
Rose bush - £15.00
Plaques - from £13.00 (plus 30p per letter)
