Could you offer me a home ? - Cattery "Poppy Appeal" !

Poppy 2 is still looking for a home! She was owned by an elderly lady who had to give her up through no fault of her own. Poppy was devoted to her and hasn’t adapted well to cattery life, to the point where she has almost reverted to being feral. We are desperately looking for an understanding home either as a stable/feral cat, although she may become friendly again once she is not confined to a small pen. Or she needs a quiet home with someone who is extremely patient and happy to leave her to settle and adjust in her own time, which may take a while, but with kindness and patience she should learn to trust people again. This pretty cat has been with us for 3 months and we are sure would be much happier in a home where she has her own space.

Hoshi and Pippi. Mum and daughter occicats. Mum is 7 years and her daughter Pippi is 5. Pippi is a little shy to start but Hoshi is very outgoing, both are very affectionate. they need an experienced home as they both have sensitive tummys and need to be kept on a special diet.

Kiko is a 2 year old male cat. Very friendly, looking for a home with no children.

Lennon. 6 year old male very friendly and lively, likes to hunt.

Gilbert is a 2 year old male friendly, likes to play.

Blue and Chester are two boys who came in together. Blue is 2 years old and Chester is 5 years. Blue is very outgoing and playful while Chester is a little quieter but very friendly. They are looking for a home together.

Sydney and Lilly; black and white female and black female respecively. Sydney is very friendly and Lilly is extremely affectionate. They are looking for a home together.

Cattery re-homing policy

There are usually around 35 cats looking for a new home. If you would like to offer a new home to a Raystede cat, we ask the following:

You must NOT live on a busy main road
Generally speaking, any resident children must be over the age of 5 years although occasionally we have cats that may be suitable for homes with young children. Please ask cattery staff for more details
There is access to a safe outside area

If you are planning a holiday or are moving home in the next 3 months, please consider delaying your application until you are settled.

If you wish to re-home a kitten, we need to know that someone will be at home during the day to socialise and feed for the first few months.

Raystede Cats are all:

Health checked by a vet
Neutered
Vaccinated
Micro chipped
Treated against fleas and worms
Given 4 weeks free ‘Pet Plan’ insurance

TO COVER SOME OF THESE COSTS, THE ADOPTION FEES FOR CATS ARE AS FOLLOWS;

CATS OVER 9 YEARS OF AGE;    £40 PER CAT.
CATS OVER THE AGE OF 6 MONTHS, BUT YOUNGER THAN 9 YEARS;    £60 PER CAT.
KITTENS (UNDER 6 MONTHS, INCLUDING THE COST OF NEUTER OPERATION);    £80 PER KITTEN.

Taking on a rescue or homeless cat can be worthwhile and satisfying BUT it is not always easy. It will require patience, time and understanding

Cattery re-homing procedure

The Cattery team are available for re-homing 7 days a week between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm. No appointment is necessary.

Please complete an application form – available from reception
A member of the cattery team will then discuss your application with you and provide more information about the cats available to you
If you find a cat you may reserve it (for up to 14 days)
A home visitor will then get in contact with you and arrange a mutually convenient time to visit your home to check the suitability for the chosen cat
Once approved, the home visitor will issue you with a white approval card.
You then contact Raystede to arrange a convenient time to collect your cat
